Peter came looking for a fight. Jesus came to die. Malchus came to take Jesus away. He was on the enemies side. At one time we were on the enemies side too. But God extended His undeserved grace to us, kinda like how Jesus healed Malchus' ear. We went from servants or slaves of sin over to being servants of righteousness thanks to that undeserved grace. We will never deserve any of it. And sometimes we even try to go back to that old master, and yet He still gives us that undeserved grace.
