Benediction (literally – the good word) 2. cup of wine 3. hands of company washed by the master of the feast, who recites a prayer 4. bitter herbs, dipped in sauce and eaten 5. lamb brought in with other portions of the meal 6. benediction and second eating of bitter herbs 7. second cup of wine with Q & A concerning the origin of the feast (Ex. 12:25-27) 8. first part of the Hallel (Ps. 113, 114) sung with benediction 9. leader washes his hands, makes a “sop” 10. each eats what he likes, finishing with a piece of lamb 11. hands are washed and a third cup of wine is taken 12. second part of the Hallel (Ps. 115-118) is sung, which concludes the supper

Great Sermon! Something that really touched my heart about this sermon was verse 15, 16 of Luke 22, "Then He said to them, "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passsover with you before I suffer..." Our Lord knew he was about to seal the New Covenant with His life, death and resurrection. What joy it must of been to teach the disciples the observance of the New Covenant. The magnitude of what was taking place there, as we look back, is truly awesome indeed, although it must have been really difficult to live through the transition, perhaps there was a great sense of confusion. How blessed we are to look back and see clearly. This is a very good sermon.
