So many people are worried about cholesterol, fat and sugar. The Bible does not teach us to be on guard against bad nutrition. On the contrary, it teaches that God made all foods, and that all foods are good. The real problem is not what we eat, but how much we eat. Gluttony is the problem.
Great Sermon! Thank you for addressing gluttony. I don't know of many pastors that will do so.
There was one thing that I'm not sure I understood though. You said that if a person lacked self-control, they didn't have the Holy Spirit? Did I understand you correctly?
Can a person be struggling (yet lacking in self-control) but also a Christian? I believe so, but would like to hear your understanding on this, thanks!
