It is better to set our desires on God than on other things. It is better to live by faith than by sight. The goods of this world are uncertain and this leads to restless, wandering desire. People will always not be satisfied with what they have. This world can never satisfy; the world will never be enough. People will always crave for more. What God offers is greater than anything the world can give. Only contentment in Christ can lead us to true satisfaction. Entire sanctification removes the desire to be satisfied with the world so one can find their satisfaction in Christ. As one is perfected by grace God removes the things we depend on for satisfaction making room for Christ to be the source of satisfaction. God calls the Christian to live by faith! God calls the Christian to not live for themselves! God calls the Christian to live a life that is poured out for others. Jesus always went the second mile, He poured Himself out for others and lived a life of love. God calls Christians to truest God to meet their needs so they are not so focused on this world that they are blinded by it. God calls Christians to turn away from lust. There are many limitations to human ability. Humans are merely flesh. We are limited in power and understanding. We cannot see into the future. But all Christians can look to God for everything they lack. Nothing in this world will ever satisfy the cravings of our soul. Only Christ can.
