On this resurrection Sunday, it is good for us to be reminded that the electing love of the Father and the redeeming love of the Son have a very particular application to the doctrine of the resurrection. In out text today, that connection is made very explicitly. In Ephesians 1, we have read about our inheritance as a blessing of our election and redemption, and as we consider the Spirit's sealing of God's people next Lord's Day, we will continue to see our glorious inheritance. But for today, we will pause and glorify our Lord and Savior for His victory over death and the grave. His victory is so complete, that we now have a firm assurance that He will raise up those who are His.
