In Gen 3:16, God condemns Eve to increased pain in childbirth and to desiring Adam’s place as head of the household (contemporarily, this is feminism and machoism). C. WOMANHOOD IS REGARDED AS ESSENTIAL TO THE HAPPINESS AND SADNESS OF MANKIND THROUGHOUT HISTORY [46:08]. In Ecc 7:23-29, Solomon reveals the grief that his many wives brought to him, but he also points out that men and women together have devised many schemes. Yet we must remember God’s proclamation in cursing Eve: that her seed would bring forth a Savior Who would destroy Satan. LESSONS [52:50]: 1. Women, own your responsibility through Eve in the sin that has brought God’s curse upon mankind, as well as its ongoing woes. 2. Women, glory that you were chosen by God to have a share in the birth of the Savior of the world. 3. Women who don’t know the Savior, turn to Him Who came into this world to save all who turn to Him in repentance and faith.

“ Summary, Part 3 ” 3. SHE IS BLESSED AS A BRINGER OF HAPPINESS TO MANKIND [30:44]. When women embrace their role as women, the world is a much happier place. Feminists are not joyful because the rebellious are never happy. How dreary would life be without women or with women who were just like men. LESSONS [34:27]: 1. Behold the dignity of womankind. It is bestowed by God, not derived by man. It is real and not imaginary. Women, as the image of God, reveal things about Him that we wouldn’t know without them. 2. Behold the happiness God intended for humankind by creating women. The world may have been an unthinkably savage place without women’s presence and intervention. II. HOW THE RELIGION OF THE BIBLE DIGNIFIES WOMEN AT THE FALL [38:08]. With dignity comes responsibility, and the Bible reveal’s woman’s dignity even by her part in the fall. In 1 Tim 2:13-14, Paul tells us that Adam was not deceived in the garden, but the woman was and became a transgressor. A. WOMANHOOD IS REGARDED AS CRUCIAL TO THE EVENTS SURROUNDING THE FALL OF MANKIND [39:55]. Eve entertained Satan’s temptations, disobeyed God by eating the fruit, and condemned Adam by giving it to him.

“ Summary, Part 2 ” 1. WOMEN ARE THE CROWN OF GOD’S CREATION [13:05]. In Gen 1:27, we read that God created male and female in His image. We are a complete handiwork of God. In Ps 8:3-6, while sitting under the stars, David contemplates man’s crowning glory and majesty. a. This is seen in God’s creation of woman out of man. In Gen 2, God made a helper for Adam. He started with the animals, but none were suitable. Then He made Eve from Adam, and she was his crown. b. This is seen in God’s special blessing upon the woman. Gen 5:2, God blessed both of them, making woman a special blessing to the world. i. She is blessed in her wifely role, not just as man’s companion. She is literally God’s gift to man. ii. She is blessed in her motherly role. Children are also a gift from God, and they are impossible without women. iii. She is blessed in her supportive role for her husband. Good marriages are happy, meaningful, and productive. 2. WOMEN ARE THE MOTHER OF HUMANITY [27:28]. Eve’s name means ‘life’, and she is the mother of humanity. Though Cain had murdered Abel, Eve produced Seth, who was the fountainhead of a godly line. In fact, she received the promise of future Savior from her own seed.

“ Summary, Part 1 ” It is irrefutable that the religion of the Bible has been a blessing to women in ways that no other religion or philosophy has. This is because God’s word reveals the dignity He bestowed upon her, and it does so in a number of ways. I. HOW THE RELIGION OF THE BIBLE DIGNIFIES WOMEN AT THE CREATION [starting at 5:38 of the audio]. A. INDIRECTLY. The Bible identifies women as the image of God. This is in stark contrast to hedonism and secular humanism, which degrade women significantly. They claim that women, like men, are descended from animals. The uninspired texts of other religions reduce women to second-class servants of men and sometimes even to mere property to be bought and sold. Islam maims them and uses them. Hinduism sees widows as practically worthless. On the other hand, women have a much happier life in the West, but only to the degree that the West is under the influence of the Bible. But its influence here is waning rapidly, and it shows. Even women are calling for its extraction from our culture. B. EXPLICITLY [11:50]. No other religion or irreligion grants women the dignity that the Bible does. Wherever the Bible loses sway, women’s graces are degraded rather than exalted.
