We've only begun the second portion of Paul's letter to the Ephesian church and already several practical Christian virtues are pouring forth. There are seven within the first few verses alone! As I mentioned before sanctification, our growing in likeness to Christ, is a life-long endeavor. This is God's plan for us.
It is important, as we consider the whole idea of restoring the Divine image in our lives, to have described for us what that looks like. Each of these virtues adds yet another brush stroke to the portrait of Christ we are painting in our lives. If we are to have the beauty of Christ shine forth from us in such a way that others might be drawn and find hope, it becomes crucial to recognize the need to cultivate these virtues in our hearts by the Spirit.
