“ It is appointed, once to die... ” The first edition of this book was in a corner in my library, not forgotten, but the author was unknown to me. Ironically, forgetting the name of the author, I downloaded this same book online and narrated it. As I was teaching on Pilgrim's Progress, I discovered it again looking through my library for illustrations for my studies. Now familiar with the author, I narrated more of this, amazed at the diligence of pastors in a bygone age to stand between people in their parish and eternity, to batter down all of their infidelity, unbelief, and atheism, and point them to their only Remedy. Books are just not written like this in our day.
