As the herald of the kingdom, John comes...
1. First at an eschatologically pregnant moment preaching in the wilderness of Judea.

2. To call the weary to repent because the Kingdom has arrived

3. As the voice who's coming has been foretold by the prophet Isaiah

4. To the people, he comes dressed and ready

5. In revival like fashion gaining the attention of all

6. Baptizing people in the Jordan river who are willing to confess
their sins and follow Jesus who was coming after John
