Scripture: Acts 9:1-19 Text: Acts 9:10-19 Sermon: THE GOSPEL'S ENEMY BECOMES ITS FRIEND PT. 2 Points: I. The Disciples Hesitation of Saul II. The Lord's Selection of Saul III. The Church's Reception of Saul
Saul opposed the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in every way. He was present at the stoning of Stephen, he had made havoc of the Christian Church in Jerusalem. He scattered Christ's flock.
And while he meant it for evil, God meant it for good. Wherever believers went they shared and told of the wonderful grace of Jesus. As a result believers and the Christian Church spread to Judea and Samaria and beyond.
In our present passage we will see how the Lord Jesus repurposes Saul and equips him for the work of ministry.
IN THIS OUR SECOND STUDY, we'll continue our study of this pivotal moment in the life of the Apostle Paul, as well as the groundwork being laid for the rest of the book of Acts.
