God has showered His love, mercy and grace upon us as Christians, yet we sometimes give our hearts away to something or someone else. We passionately chase after things that are far less worthy and far less wonderful than our relationship with God is meant to be. In practical terms, we act as if our relationship with God is not enough.
But God has a plan to recapture our hearts’ affections. To do it, God has to expose you to the effects of your idolatry, so that you will want to run back after Him, and then you will see Him more clearly as the wonderful, loving, and glorious God that He is.
The Problem (vs.3)
The Promise (vs.4)
The Purpose (vs.5)
The Plea (vs.6)
If you ask God to reveal the idols in your heart, be ready, because you’re in for a bumpy ride. But it is also a joyous experience to overcome idolatry and to be overwhelmed with the love of God. The God of love will not tolerate our love of idols. That means God has to break your heart to make your heart. It’s worth it, because He’s worthy.

Consummate! I believe this sermon would be very well received by many. And absolutely a pill easy to swallow but has great effects for those whom are wanting a greater depth of love and obedience to God the Father through His Son.
