We learn that our standing is that of heirs and sons, and we discover the vast inheritance that is ours if we are in Christ by faith. This inheritance has been secured by the shedding of His blood, the blood of the covenant. Through the shedding of His blood we have the remission (forgiveness) of all our sins. And without the blood of Christ we have no gospel, no hope, and no inheritance! This is why it was appointed for Jesus to die, be judged, and bear the sins of many. But as we celebrate the resurrection we also know that He was appointed to eternal life!
