USA Today conducted a survey asking Americans in the top 1% income bracket how much they would be willing to spend on three intangible items: great intellect, true love and a place in heaven. On average they would be willing to spend $407k for great intellect, $487k for true love, and $640k for a place in heaven! I am not sure what that really means but I do know that many people in our country think that heaven is something that can be bought -- not with money but with good works.
Romans 10 gives us The Gospel Truth. God tells us what we must do to be saved and have eternal life.
I. To be saved you must believe the Gospel (10:9-13)
II. To believe you must understand the Gospel (10:14-17)
