Unless truth is present, there is NO true worship. Worship must be done in TRUTH; truth involves words, therefore worship is done in words. Worship is Word driven (not by music, plays, skits, drama, dance, entertainment). Sadly today, many use whatever draws a crowd. A church that preaches the true gospel will either drive people to their knees or drive them out the door.
If entertainment is part of worship, then we come together in part to please self. If that is the case, we're engaging in idolatry. If we gather together to please ourselves, we receive at least part of the glory due to God.
Emotions that are Word driven are acceptable to God. Emotions that are stirred up through music or stories are NOT.
