How was your work week? What have you noticed of the goodness of the Lord this week? How has His care and love surprised you? As we think about our life, day to day, we learn to "count our many blessings, name them one by one.; count our many blessings see what God has done." It is true, isn't it? Even in challenging times we can see that He is very kind to us and keeps us in His care.
As we come to worship Him this week we continue in Mark 6.30-32. My copy of the NIV has a boldface "introduction" to this section, "Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand." I understand why the NIV made that editorial decision, but I wish they would not have. That kind of comment placed just before verse 30 makes verses 30-32 pretty meaningless. But there is very important truth at 30-32 and we will see why Jesus instructs His apostles to come with Him to a quiet place to get some rest. ----------------- Mark 6.30-32 The Necessity of Wilderness Rest
Theme: The Lord instructs His to follow Him to wilderness rest
