In this message, we look at Paul discussing with the church at Corinth concerning the preaching of the Gospel. We see the reason he spoke this verse is to exalt the supremacy of Christ. Paul wanted to keep the focus on Christ and not individuals. We see this is because the Gospel is the power of God which brings salvation. Paul teaches how God uses the foolishness of preaching to save those that believe. Then, we look at John 10:16, focusing on the fact Jesus speaks concerning the other sheep He has which are not of this fold. How will they be brought into the fold? He laid down His life for the sheep, shouldn't we? Then we speak briefly about the 99 and the 1 lost sheep. Then, we consider John 10:13. Do we care for the Lord's sheep? How can we say we care for the sheep if we are not seeking to bring them into the fold? How ill they come? by the foolishness of preaching. We want to recognize the fact that our effort is beneficial. Otherwise, Jesus wouldn't have mentioned for us to go out into the highways and byways, compelling them to come in. Finally, we think about Revelation 20 and the Great White Throne.
