We thought it would be appropriate in our series, Work - All to the Glory of God¸ to include a message on money. Jesus taught that we cannot serve both God and money. Just as we have been hearing that our work is a matter of worship, so too is how we consider our wealth and possessions. The world teaches us that our security, joy and comfort depend upon good investments and 'having enough'. Paul, on the other hand, exhorts us not to set our hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God. More than this, he tells us just how it is we can enjoy God's good gifts, set up a good foundation for the future and "take hold of that which is truly life." Sounds like a 'good investment' to me!
