When the seventy returned from their mission (Luke 10:1-12), they were rejoicing over what they did. Jesus, however, directed their joy to focus rather on their status--that their names were recorded in heaven (v. 20). Just before this, Jesus declared that the source of their power over demons was due to the fact that Satan was now a defeated foe. IMO, that victory was secured when Jesus, as the second Adam, resisted Satan's temptation.
