This is third in a series of messages leading up to Easter based on Psalm 22. This message covers verses 22-26. In the Psalm Jesus claims a relationship to "Brothers," indicating those men and women who believe in Him and that kinship is exemplified in four areas: Jesus became a human through his birth to the Virgin Many, If we are "Born Again" we can claim God as our Father, Jesus endured temptation in like manner as we are tempted, and Jesus knows and understands sin because He became "sin" for us. The latter part of the Psalm speaks of Christ singing in the midst of the congregation (the Church) with His brethren. Christ's reward for His suffering is those who believe in Him to the saving of their souls.
