Do not be satisfied with anything less than a supernatural deliverance. Jonah is a true believer, an experienced believer, and he is a disobedient believer. Many of these still exist and are, like Jonah, not happy at all. The simple condition of deliverance is simple faith based on God's word. When did Jonah's greatest usefulness take place --before or after his rebelion? How about Peter--when did his greatest usefullness take place--before or after his public denial of Christ? How about Mark the missionary helper who turned back and upset the mission endeavor--when did his greatest usefullness take place--before or after his failure? And you? And the many crippled children of God who, truth be told, know where, when, and why they failed to continue in God's will--how many of these might find new beginnings from the God of deliverances?
