Great Sermon! Yes I agree that it is a good sermon and that Jesus does not give the injured party the right to remarry. The early church did not teach this and there is proof of this as in the UK , before 1857 -Divorce was rarely granted and if it had to be approved by Parliament and only the rich could afford it but remarriage was not allowed. The law then changed and you could apply to the courts
The only reason that remarriage happen now is because of governments changing the law to accommodate the people. The Church of England would not remarry a Divorced person until they voted to 2011 so the permanence of marriage is longer preached because a high percentage of the congregation and preachers are remarried. A little lever spoils the whole lump

Great Sermon! Thank you for preaching this sermon. So many people need to understand that repentance isn't just being sorry about sin, but that we have to bring "fruit" showing our repentance. In the case of adulterous remarriage, also known as present continuous tense adultery, the proof of repentance simply boils down to the fact that you must stop committing the adultery AND that means you have to get out of the remarriage! Also, Jesus does not give the injured spouse the right to remarry. They should pray, wait and trust the Lord to change the prodigal spouse’s heart---transforming their life and turning their heart back to their covenant, one-flesh spouse and restoring the covenant marriage for His own glory!
