The topic of Post-Modernism is not usually a familiar one to most Christian believers. It does not have its origin in the Christian church but nevertheless it has entered the culture, the church and individual Christian thinking to the extent that it has become a highly significant factor in the world today. This has occurred slowly and subtly without sufficient awareness on the part of Christians. This, and the next few sessions, continue with setting the foundation for our deeper understanding of what Post-Modernism is, and does, in our world and experience.

Insightful Sermon! Again this message gives us more insight and information as to what's happening in our Postmodern society. The action that we as strong Christians must do is study the Holy Scripture more deeply and know how to present our Truth and Defense as given in the Holy Bible. While this philosophy/ideology is gaining in strength in the secular world I am studying some topics to see what the next step is beyond Postmodernism, which I see is more powerful because mankind isn't satisfied with this selfish doctrine and continues to search even more anti-God attacks. I see another secular-anti-Christ "wave" in the next 2 generations which is even more grave this creation-belief system.

Great Sermon! I am working my way thru this series. Got the first 4 under my belt. But it was the second one that I really appreciate. Answered many questions. Many times I've felt so bewildered as I've looked at our world today, our culture, society and nation. I have wondered what and how did we get to this place. I have much more clarity since listening to second sermon. I've heard some of this before, but feel had my eyes really opened with that message. Thank you pastor and thank you Ron n Heather as your comment prompted me to listen.

Be Encouraged! The church is safe, Mt 16:18. It may be small—it may be feeble—it may weep much—it may be much opposed and ridiculed —it may have mighty enemies—the rich and the great may set themselves against it—but it is safe. It is founded on a Rock. All its enemies shall not overcome it. Jesus has promised it; and in all ages he has shown that he has remembered his promise. It has not been extinct. It has been persecuted, opposed, ridiculed, and almost driven from the world; but a few have been found who have loved the Lord; and soon the flame has kindled, and the church has shone forth "fair as the sun, clear as the moon, and terrible as an army with banners." So it is still. Feeble churches may mourn much; anxiety may abound; and the few pious people may weep in secret places; but Jesus hears their groans, and counts their tears, and they and their church are safe. He is their Friend, and all the powers of hell shall not prevail against them.[Albert Barnes]
