Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsemane and has made sure He goes to a place Judas remembers and a time that makes it easier for Judas to betray Him. Jesus went forth to the garden. He went forth to face His betrayer and the armed soldiers with Judas. He went forth to the cross. The text says He knew they were coming and knew all that would happen. While everything and everyone else feels in control, Jesus alone is in control of this situation. He is no martyr but a willing sacrifice. No one makes Him go to the cross but He goes freely. Why? For our sakes and His glory.
