Some would consider this the greatest chapter in the Old Testament. There's no question about the fact that it is the most detailed prophecy of the Messiah that the Old Testament contains. It is a powerful, powerful chapter that has to be considered phrase by phrase if not word by word because of its high impact and profound truth.
When we study together this fifty-third chapter, I want you to become so familiar with it that it is accessible to you by memory. And so, as we work our way through, this is message number four today, and we're going to get to verses 2 and 3, so it will be a while before we get through this entire chapter, but in the process I want you to be so familiar with this chapter that it becomes part of the fabric of your life which then will cause you to worship the Lord in ways that will be fresh and new and rich and a blessing to you.
