Theme: Followers of Christ must have continual forgiveness toward others as a characteristic of their lives in Christ. Jesus commands us to forgive. We need to realize the depth of what God has forgiven us. He has forgiven us more than we can ever forgive someone else. God may be using the wrong for your good and His glory. God is faithful in His forgiveness. He forgets our sins and remembers them no more. When we refuse to forgive, it severely affects our relationship with God in fellowship, worship, and prayer. We need to realized that forgiving allows us to be like Christ; He was meek, compassionate, and peaceable. In this fallen world, there is the need to cover many sins, and love covers a multitude. Finally, we must forgive those who seek forgiveness; it is a command. As Christians, we have been forgiven of all our sins. We should marvel and be humbled that God would forgive us. We need to be like Christ and always be desiring to forgive others.
