In the majority of marriage seminars, tapes, DVDs and books the husband is set upon in an unmerciful manner. If his needs are recognized at all they are done so with a condescending manner which relegates them to animal appetites while his wife's needs are seen as springing from spiritual aspirations. This is done because the market for this material is driven by women and that is where the money is made. Rev. Mahon deviates from this trend by truthfully and biblically presenting both the needs of the husband and the wife as equal. He does this knowing their is no market for such an approach. This is a continuation and fleshing out so to speak of the overview lectures. Rev. Mahon was invited to spend the day with the Navigator staff of Nairobi, Kenya and fully develop the individual marriage covenants as presented the previous day to half day conference. The emphasis of this group of lectures is particularly aimed towards full time staff involved in Para-church and church ministries. This lecture presents the roles of husband and wife in Biblical terms apart from cultural, sociological and psychological considerations of Paul or the early church. The Word of God is taught clearly as that which transcends both time, culture and science. The Word of God is taught as that which judges culture and science and not vice-versa.
