The disciple could say, "WE HAVE FOUND HIM!" Not an "IT" but a "PERSON"! It is not sufficient to find a DOCTRINE, or to find a TRUTH, or to find an EXPERIENCE, or to find a FEELING, or to find a CHURCH, or to find a PREACHER, or to find RELIGION — for none of these items can save your soul.
What is wanted is to find a real, clear-cut personal UNION with a PERSON — the GOD-MAN, the only Redeemer of God's elect, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Have you "found HIM"?
Do you "know HIM"?
Can you testify of HIM, and not a mere thing called RELIGION? |
