God has not promised that people who love Him will have an easy life. In fact, very often the Lord takes His people through extremely hard Providences: the loss of a job, financial hardships, sickness & disease. Friends betray us, spouses abandon us. We lose loved ones to death, either with sudden un-expectedness, or a piece at a time. Many of God's people have had to come to grips with the barrenness of the womb when their hearts are set upon raising godly children. Still others have lost infants & children & spouses through death. The questions that go through our minds are many: "Where is God when hard times come? Why does He let His children suffer so much? Does He really love me? Why must life be so hard all the time? Is God really on His throne, and is He really good?" God is indeed on His throne, and though He has never promised us an easy life, He has promised to give us grace and hope sufficient to carry us through the storm. In this message we learn two things: 1. God is Sovereign and 2. God is good.
