Christmas should be a time of great comfort and joy to God's people because it's a reminder of what Jesus' first coming has accomplished for sinners. Last Sunday we saw from the Torah that the promise of Christmas began in the Garden of Eden while Satan was being judged. The promise was to bring hope to humanity of One who would reverse the curse and restore creation. This Sunday we will look to the Prophets and see that the promise and prophecy of Christmas was also to bring comfort and joy to a people enslaved to their sin. It was to be a message worth shouting from the highest mountain that the Savior for humanity will be born!
