We continued talking about the sinfulness of sin in that it is an affront to the thrice holy God. We began by discussing the wholly otherness of God, in that while the Law is a reflection of His own moral verity, He is not subject to His Law of Goodness, Justice, Holiness, as if they were something outside of Him to obey. In that light, then, we touched upon that the Lord hates sin so much that -even in His divine impassibility (not subject to passions, feelings, etc.)- He condescends to such a degree, using language anthropropathically describing sin as grieving Him in his heart.
