This series in our Tuesday Evening Bible Study is on the very important doctrine of Spiritual Union and Communion with Christ, as historically taught in the Christian Church. Tonigt’s lesson examines the four states of Man, from his creation to the consummation in glory at the Lord’s second coming. This doctrine was neglected and largely lost in the Christian Church for the thousand years of the Dark Ages and became part of the defining doctrines of the Protestant Reformation starting in the 14th century. This presentation is adapted from the writings of Thomas Boston, the noted Scottish Presbyterian Puritan (1676-1732). A course notebook for this series is in preparation and will become available at the conclusion of the course.
