Both Joram and Ahaziah will die prematurely as God begins to remove all those associated with the house of Ahab. What will happen then to Judah: will the nation go the way of Israel? It would, but for the Lord's grace and the promised preservation of David's line. This is a promise fulfilled ultimately in Jesus Christ, great David's greater Son.
