SERMON INFO
If God is in control of our salvation, is there no such thing as human responsibility? How can God hold a man responsible for rejecting the gospel message if that message cannot be received except by a supernatural work of grace in his heart? J I Packer calls this an "antimony...an apparent incompatibility between two apparent truths...an antinomy exists when a pair of principles stand side by side, seemingly irreconcilable, yet both undeniable." Our finite minds want to jettison one or the other of these truths, but the result is a perversion of the gospel.

“ Insightful Sermon! ”
There are great explanations and examples of looking at this difficult topic and we can be satisfied with Russ' discussion.

“ Unbelievable Truths ”
This is by far, the best sermon at both delineating and comparing Free Will and Reformed doctrine in Salvation. I will be recommending this to my Arminian friends!

“ Ohh man! ”
I have been wondering about this Truth(s) for a while, feeling how each ditch on either side sucked life and joy out of me. Even though the Lord revealed to me the nature of light, being both waves and particles, a long time ago, and also presenting this as a good analogy for His plan, I still had doubts. Even last night, I attended a meeting where the preacher time after time stated that God in His great love was willing to take a equally great risk by giving man free will. Thank God for making us unable to grasp His Truth in our minds, but rather in our hearts and souls as our newborn spirits cry out Abba, Father! What a miracle that is! How often I forget what emptiness surrounded me before Jesus saved me. All glory to Him who lives forever and ever!

“ Great Sermon! ”
A must hear for those trying to come to terms with God's Soverigity and man's free will as Scripture appears to teach bot. I sent this off to two old college professors. Thank you.

“ Great Sermon! ”
A must hear!! This get's right to the point with election and man's resposibility to preaching the gospel. We don't need to worry about who's elected or who's not elected. We need only to be concerned about spreading the word.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Beautiful! As a people, who because of His will, can see His total sovereignty in our lives, should evangelize with boldness, we never know who He may have put in front of us is about to have their hearts opened to the Gospel!

“ On God's Sovereignty And Man's Responsibility! ”
This message echoes the idea found in the following quote from the book _Arminianism - Another Gospel_ (free at http://www.sermonaudio.com/ser moninfo.asp?sermonID=1060713541 70), "It is often alleged that Arminianism and Calvinism only differ in that the former chiefly stresses man's responsibility and the latter lays all the weight upon Divine Sovereignty. This is not correct. The Arminian does stress man's responsibility to the exclusion of the sovereignty of God, and this is a fruitful cause of more than one error. The man, on the other hand, who stresses the sovereignty of God to the exclusion of man's responsibility is a hyper-Calvinist and is in error on this aspect of truth just as surely as the Arminian. The true Calvinist lays stress on both doctrines as they are unfolded in the inspired and infallible Word of God" (Foreword).

“ Excellent job on difficult subject! ”
The co-existence of God's sovereignty and man's responsibility in salvation is one of the most difficult topics in all of scripture. But both truths are evident in scripture and Pastor Sukhia does an excellent job in his presentation of this topic. We cannot deny God's sovereignty- for to do so would be denying the true God. But we must also remember our responsibilities in spreading the gospel so that God can touch the hearts of his elect. This is a message all believers should hear. God bless Pastor Sukhia for spreading the truth.

Spiritually Starving (10/5/2006)
“ Thank you ”
Thank you, I needed to be fed today!
