In Isaiah 30:1-33, we observe 4 acts of judgment and grace directed toward His people and their enemies. I. Yahweh describes His stubborn children who foolishly seek refuge in the wrong place (vs. 1-7). II. The Holy One of Israel commands Isaiah to preserve this testimony because His people are rebellious, refusing to hear His word, and He will judge them, leaving only a remnant (vs. 8-17). III. Yahweh waits to be gracious to those who wait for Him and bless them profusely (vs. 18-26). IV. Yahweh will judge Assyria with burning anger while His people feast with gladness (vs. 27-33).
