Contentment is to find rest and satisfaction in what you have, where you are, with the knowledge that Divine wisdom and love has so ordained it as best for you. When we are not content we are saying to God that we are not happy with him and do not appreciate what He does for us, and we do not trust Him. So discontent is unbelief, and is the primary way that we offend God. We can learn to be content by the passing of time and the suffering of loss. We miss the blessings of today while we are pining over the past, or living in fear of the future. "This is the day that the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalm 118:24
