This morning we want to attempt to understand a little more about our great salvation in relation to the glory of the One who has purchased it for us. Even if you do not know Christ as of yet, it will be of great value for you to hear the gospel, and to think about what it means to be a Christian. Christ, being the brightness of God’s glory has accomplished certain tangible things by His life and His death, which are made over to us in and through the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. 1st of all – It is a part of the glory of Christ that He Himself undertook the task of purged our sins. (verse 3) 2nd – It is a part of the glory of Christ that He continues on in His good work; to build righteousness into our lives by His purging us of our sins. (Verses 8 and 9) And 3rd – We want to see that it was a part of Christ’s glory that He was the recipient of the greatest gladness of any man, because of what His sufferings and resurrection have accomplished. (verse 9b)
