Theologians speak of something called 'The Covenant of Redemption' which is a name given to frame a covenant made between God the Father and God the Son before the world was called forth.
The term 'Covenant of Redemption' never occurs in scripture, but this sermon tracks the evidence of the existence of such a covenant. In this sermon we consider statements made in the Old Testament, statements made by Jesus himself and statements made later by the apostles that indicate that before the world was created there was a plan established to create, redeem and bless the world for his own glory.
At the conclusion of the sermon we consider the obvious question of 'why' God would create a world knowing that it would cost the blood of his only begotten son to redeem it.
