The psalmist didn’t want God to be far away because trouble has moved in next door, become his neighbor. This was not someone who he wanted by him. This trouble was acting like it was closely related to him and was not going away. We can search for help but without God that help will be fleeting. We are screaming in pain but people walk away and ignore us. When no one else is concerned God is there; ask Him. Is the troubler troubling you? If so; arise, come to God, and get the answer.
