The Description of True Believers Jude v.1-2Jude was the half-brother of Jesus, but he did not describe himself in such a way. Instead, he felt the most important thing to remember about him was not his physical relationship but his spiritual position. He was a servant of Jesus Christ. Sanctification is that relationship with God into which we enter when we put our trust in Christ. Sanctification carries the idea of being set apart for God, of being made holy, of being made like God. It tells us that as believers we are to be separated from evil ways. Being saved is the starting point not the stopping place. Salvation is where we get in, but there is the matter of going on. Jude describes it as a developing process.
