This Sunday, Grace OPC in Lisbon, NY celebrated it's 55th anniversary as on OPC congregation. In 1958, this congregation formed when a group within the Lisbon UPCNA congregation refused to merge with the PCUSA in 1958. The UP pastor at that time, Peter Vosteen, also opposed the merger and assisted this group as they reorganized into an OPC congregation the same year. He returned to celebrate God's grace and faithfulness to us, preaching from the same text he preached in the first worship service after leaving the UPCUSA 55 years ago. In this sermon he explained how God is building a spiritual house with Christ as the cornerstone and how we participate as living stones in that house.
