When someone does something for us it is proper to thank them. God gave directions on how Israel was to do this for what He had done for them. He had brought them deliverance. He heard their cries and He hears our cry. We may find ourselves at times overwhelmed by depression for example. God doesn’t just sit there; no, He is already in motion for us just as He was for Israel. We need to perform our duty and worship God. When we follow His directions we will find delight in His ways.
