They are led to believe they must know how to engage in spiritual battle in a way that is mysterious even to the Bible!
Here I have taken the position of Isaiah (8:19-20) where he calls the people back to the law and the testimony. God has spoken, let us read His words and find out what He has said rather than concocting theories about how best to detect and bind/loose demons.
