“ A Cool Cup of Water ” Bro. Mahan, I think it right for me to confess that God has used this sermon of yours to bless me today. Truly, it has been like cool water to a thirsty man. I am a bi-vocational SBC pastor, preaching through Ephesians. I came to Eph 1:4-5 last Sunday and simply related what it clearly says about predestination and God's unmerited favor. Long story short, that sermon was not well-received! Feeling some discouragement as I prepare to preach again from the same section. Your message has been a great encouragement to me, though my heart is broken for the people whom God has placed in my charge, and the hardness of their hearts toward the idea of Grace Alone. (I had one woman after the sermon tell me that she deserves to be saved, because she made the right decisions about Christ.) Thanks again for the edification, through God's grace. Keep fighting, strong brother.

the Lord. As hard as it is to accept,
this must be the reason why people
