We will conclude our series through 1 Samuel this coming Sunday by considering the death of Saul. Sadly, Saul died as he lived – more in the fear of shame than in the fear of the Lord. And yet, he is honoured in the end by those who remember the salvation the Lord worked through him. He was after all, the Lord's anointed. We too can honour and rejoice in the Lord's Anointed - Christ our King – who has worked salvation for us and whose perfect love casts out fear.
