Distractions are used by the enemy to keep our minds from being focused on the battle. The mind controls so much of what we do and satan wants to have as much control, one way or another, over our minds. But Jesus has already thought of this and has made provision for the mind. He has made a helmet for us to wear so that it will absorb the blows meant to knock us senseless. This helmet of salvation is like a lawyer that defends us to insure we get a fair trial. Satan will bring unfair trials our way to wear us down anyway possible. But that helmet is there to guard against those situations. The attack is raging around our mind but God loves us and will protect us; if we let Him. We will know some of what is going on around us but the damage is minimized because of the Lord's defense. But without the helmet we won't be in our right minds to know much because of the enemy beating us up. Where is your helmet?
