How that must have chapped the Judaizers, who wanted to keep down Gentile believers as second class citizens unless they kept the law and became Jews. But Paul eviscerates their entire plea by announcing that Gentiles receive all the benefits of sons apart from the law.
The implications of our sonship are staggering: we are joint heirs with Christ, and Christ inherits everything - the world, the kingdom, and rule over all things.
And we poor Gentile believers inherit through Christ all these things as His younger brothers!
This is the gentlest, most gracious reign possible: younger brothers in the royal family of God, subject to their Prince and Savior, not as servants, but as brethren.
We had no right to obtain such glory, but it is all of God's grace and goodness to us because He loves us forever!
