The Reformed Churches in the United States in Nebraska invited Dr. R. Scott Clark (Professor of Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary in California) to present a series of lectures on the History surrounding the Synod of Dort.
In this third lecture, Dr. Clark describes the Reformed Churches initial Responses to the Five Points of the Remonstrants. Their ideas were first published in 1610.
The first published responses to the Opposition was by Petras Plankius were first published in 1611. He made the following seven points:
1. Sin and Depravity 2. Children of Believers 3. Unconditional Election 4. Definite Atonement 5. Free Offer of the Gospel 6. Doctrine of Sanctification 7. Perseverance
