On some issues we are to be willing to compromise, easily entreated and pliable. On others we are to be steadfast, unyielding, unbending. The Apostle Paul was willing to compromise---to try to be all things to all men, for the sake of the gospel. But there was one matter on which he was adamant, THE CONTENT OF THAT GOSPEL. When men came to the churches of Galatia declaring that faith in Jesus Christ was insufficient for salvation, that salvation was only attained through faith in Jesus, plus circumcision, Paul was incensed. He wrote, in large letters, with his own hand, this 'fiery, tumultous epistle.' If you are trusting in Jesus and your prayer life, Jesus and your godliness, Jesus and your love, or Jesus AND ANYTHING, you are not trusting in JESUS ALONE. If you are not trusting in Jesus alone, you are not saved. Paul marveled that the Galatians were so quickly brought to the point of considering faith in Jesus plus anything for salvation. He said if we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. This message considers the Health and Wealth gospel, as well as the gospel of Mormonism, as two of the scores of false gospels being advanced today.

Born and raised in Baltimore MD, then moving to Florida in his youth, Russ came to faith in Christ as a third year college student through the testimony of his brother Doug. Russ transferred from the University of Florida to Shelton College which is affiliated with the Bible...
