Rebel means to resist or rise against, in our case rebelling against human nature. The flesh says no hope, no optimism, to have our hopes dashed just give in to depression. But that is the human nature side. When there is no hope those whose hope is in God find hope! Pray because the Bible says to pray no just to go through the motions. We may get to feeling like Job, no confidence and feeling like God has done turned His back on us. Our minds start reinforcing that thought, which is what the enemy want (because hopelessness will embrace you). But listen to the Holy Spirit, for He wants to help us avoid some of the dangers of hopelessness. Depression being a big one, no one wants this but hopelessness enrolls us in this. Also a desire for death. If we will be true rebel Christians we must rise up in the strength of the Holy Spirit. He has given us the scriptures to bring us hope. That’s why Satan fights us on reading the Bible. Hope in the Lord will strengthen, will embrace you warmly. Hope will bring rest to you hope will also bring happiness.
