Andrew A. Bonar, the biographer of the Memoirs of Robert Murray M'Cheyne and Asahel Nettleton: Life and Labours, provides a sermon upon the subject of the wrath of God, the words of which express the great tenderness and compassion of the Master whom he served...
'For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and He poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.'

Great Sermon! This is an excellent sermon - one that should be heard by all. Thanks for re-preaching it with such fervor and compassion!

Great Sermon! I listened to this narration three times today. The first time I wasn't paying close enough attention because I was working but was so gripped by Bonar's exposition - the parts I heard, I started it over. The narration is great and the exposition is what one would expect from Bonar whose commentary on Leviticus was published in the Geneva Series by Banner of Truth, so highly was it prized. The sermon is sobering and reminds me so much of how Jonathan Edwards develops this frightening subject in his sermons.
